RL Horizon is an unconventional slab serif that explores the interplay of contrast and softness within the broad framework of trasitional type. It draws inspiration from a variety of sources including Cooper, Bookman, Estro, and Italian Fatface, to create a distinctive typographic voice.

With its relaxed yet graphic character, RL Horizon brings an informal and approachable tone to the page. It evokes a sense of tranquility, ease, and comfort, yet its personality is anything but simplistic. Born from a blend of genres, this typeface expresses a complex origin story.

Its organic slab serif structure is enriched with abstracted graphic details, resulting in a unique form that balances softness with deliberate, confident design, steering away from visual heaviness or excess.While its expressive nature shines in display settings, RL Horizon is equally capable in longer text applications, especially in the lighter weights.

The typeface’s flexibility makes it suitable across a wide range of uses without losing its distinct character.Its unusual personality is further enhanced by a true italic companion. The reclined forms are designed to harmonize seamlessly with the Roman styles, yet are strong enough to stand alone as an autonomous typeface.
